A 1950 bungalow in McFerrin Park taken back to the studs — 1,008 sq ft, three bedrooms, two baths, on a tenth of an acre.
A small bungalow in McFerrin Park, East Nashville, renovated throughout.
Stucco exterior with cedar accents outside. Inside, the ceilings were opened up and vaulted, with reclaimed wood beams left exposed — the move that turns a thousand square feet from cramped into generous. Shaker cabinetry, a gas range and stainless appliances in the kitchen; designer tile and lighting through the primary suite.
Off-street parking, a private deck and a backyard that is unusually generous for the lot.
1,008 square feet is not much to work with. Every decision has to earn its place, and there is nowhere to hide a bad one. The house went under contract in a single day.
